Got a PDF or an odd spreadsheet? SmartFolio gives you a prompt to paste into the AI assistant you already use, and you paste its reply back. The app itself never calls an AI service.

Is SmartFolio free?

Yes. It is free on the App Store, with no subscription, no ads and no in-app purchases.

Do I need an account?

No. Your portfolio stays on your device — nothing is uploaded to a server and there is no SmartFolio login.

Does it connect to my brokerage?

There is no brokerage login. From version 5.0 you import the export file your broker lets you download (guides for 19 brokers, or any CSV or Excel file); you can still add trades by hand. Live prices come from public market data.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone and iPad, on iOS 26.2 or later.

Is there a free portfolio tracker in Canada?

SmartFolio is free, with import guides for Wealthsimple, Questrade, TD, RBC, BMO, Scotia iTRADE, CIBC, National Bank and Qtrade, and totals can show in Canadian dollars.
