Overdrive is a landing-page and business theme for startups, SaaS products, apps, agencies and launches that would rather be remembered than blend in. The hero is drawn entirely in CSS — a striped sun, wireframe mountains and a grid running to the horizon — with a chrome-gradient headline over it. Underneath is a complete business site: logos, features, a numbered how-it-works, a real pricing table, testimonials, an FAQ that prints its own structured data, a newsletter block and a contact form with spam protection. Every section has a toggle and an order, so the front page is arranged from one field.
Installing by FTP instead? Unzip it and upload the overdrive folder into wp-content/themes/, then activate it from Appearance → Themes.
No. The whole front page is assembled from Customizer settings — each section has a toggle, and one field sets their order. There is no builder to learn and nothing to migrate if you leave.
No. The sun, mountains and grid are drawn in CSS, so they are sharp at any screen size, weigh nothing, and recolour instantly when you change the palette. You can still put a product screenshot beside them.
One line per plan: name, price, period, features, button text, link and whether it is the featured plan. Start a feature with a minus sign to show it as not included. Add yearly prices and a monthly/yearly switch appears automatically.
The copyright line is yours to edit in the Customizer. The small "Overdrive theme by The Big Head" credit is part of the theme. It is GPL, so you may modify the code, but there is no setting that hides it.
That is what the presets are for. Turn the sun, stars and scanlines off and pick the quieter palette and you have a clean, modern SaaS layout with the same structure. The retro styling is a setting, not the architecture.
WordPress themes are GPL v2+, Shopify themes are MIT. Either way: use it on client sites, change it, rename it, sell the site you built with it. There is no “pro” version being withheld and no licence key.
The download button is a download button. We do not ask who you are and there is nothing to unsubscribe from afterwards.
No Google Fonts, no analytics, no external requests of any kind. Everything the theme needs is inside the zip, which is also why they are small.
Every theme works with the block editor and the Customizer alone. None of them require a plugin to look like the demo.
