Brolic

The gym leaderboard and workout tracker for iPhone and iPad

Brolic logs a lift in seconds, then shows you where you rank on every lift — worldwide, in your country, in your city or in your weight class — and exactly what it takes to pass the next person.

What it looks like

Four tabs and a round + to log. Nothing here is a mockup — these are screenshots of the app.

New in 2.1 Log a lift in seconds, first names on the leaderboard, a leaderboard for your city, a growth bar on every lift, and five colour themes in light and dark.

Coming in 2.2 Leave a workout and come back to it, log a workout for another day, last numbers shown in grey to repeat in one tick, a floating rest timer that can alert you with the phone locked, and every max shows the set it came from. A new app icon, too.

Brolic’s Bench Press leaderboard: the user’s spot (fifth of fourteen, 5 lbs to pass Ramon) with a bar showing how close they are, then everyone ranked by first name with gold, silver and bronze for the top three.

Brolic’s Log screen: one-tap buttons for Bench Press, Squat, Deadlift, Leg Press and Overhead Press, a Start a full workout button, a CrossFit WOD button and saved routines.
Log a lift
Brolic’s workout logger: two bench press sets of 265 lbs for 6 ticked off, the user’s best shown above, and a rest timer running at the top.
Workout log
Brolic’s Progress tab: stronger on 17 of 17 lifts, and for each lift the max, how much it has gone up since July, and a bar to the next strength level.

Brolic’s weekly report: four of four workouts done, total weight lifted up on last week, sets per muscle group and the week’s records.

Brolic’s feed: a strip of fresh records, then today’s lifts by first name, each with small real and fake vote buttons and a comment button.

Leaderboards

Every lift has a board: worldwide, your country, your city or your weight class. See your spot, who’s next and exactly what it takes to pass them.

✓

Workout tracker

Tap a lift, type your weight and reps, tick the set. The rest timer starts on its own, and your best is right there to beat.

📈

Your growth

Every lift shows how much stronger you are since you started and a bar to your next step. Plus a weekly report of how you trained.

🔖

Unlimited routines

Save as many routines as you like. Push, Pull, Legs, Upper, Lower and Full Body are built in, and any finished workout saves as a routine in one tap.

A leaderboard you can trust

Most gym leaderboards rank whatever number someone types in. Brolic lets the lifters decide what counts.

  • Every lift can be upvoted or downvoted by other lifters
  • More downvotes than upvotes takes a lift off the board automatically
  • Block anyone and their lifts disappear from your feed
  • Comment on lifts, and report or block anyone from any lift, comment or profile — reports are checked within 24 hours
  • No photos, videos or direct messages
  • Your email and last name are private; the leaderboard shows your first name

Made for people who lift

Built after reading what lifters praise and complain about in the popular gym apps: they want fewer taps, a clear target to beat, and no paywall on the basics.

A lift in seconds

Tap Bench, type the weight and reps, tick the set. Nudge a weight with the −10, −5, +5 and +10 buttons above the keypad.

Know who to beat

Brolic works out the gap to the lifter directly above you — “5 lbs more to pass Ramon” — so every session has a target.

Records caught for you

Beat a best and Brolic stamps it the moment you finish and puts it on the board. No separate PR log to keep.

Strength levels even on day one

If a board is still quiet, Brolic shows where your lift sits against strength standards for your bodyweight, from Beginner to Elite.

Questions

Is Brolic free?

Yes. Every feature is free: the workout tracker, unlimited routines, the leaderboards and the weekly report. There is no subscription, no premium tier, no in-app purchase and no ads.

Do I need an account?

Yes, because the leaderboard needs to know whose lift is whose. Sign in with Apple, Google or an email address. Your email is never shown to other lifters.

How are lifts ranked?

By your max: the most you could lift for 1 rep, worked out from your best set (the Epley formula, weight × (1 + reps ÷ 30)) — or pound for pound, for your size. You can rank worldwide, in your country, in your city or in your weight class.

What stops people faking lifts?

Every lift can be upvoted or downvoted by other lifters. A lift with more downvotes than upvotes is removed from the leaderboard automatically. You can also block anyone.

Can I use pounds?

Yes. Switch between kilograms and pounds in Settings, or per exercise while you log. Leaderboards convert so everyone is compared fairly.

Does it upload videos or photos?

No. Brolic has no video or photo uploads and no direct messages. Lifts are numbers — exercise, weight and reps — and you can leave short text comments on them.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: You, then the gear, then Delete account. It removes your account, workouts, leaderboard entries, goals and routines.

Is there an Android version?

No. Brolic is an iPhone and iPad app.

How do I compare my lifts with other lifters?

Every lift has a leaderboard — world, country, city or weight class — and Brolic shows the gap to the lifter just above you. Pounds and kilograms are converted so everyone is compared fairly.
