What Neonwire is for
Neonwire is a portfolio for designers, developers, studios and anyone whose work looks better on black. The front page opens like an instrument panel — corner brackets, a live local clock, a glitching name and a horizon grid — then gets straight to the work. Projects are ordinary posts with client, role, stack and year fields, shown in a grid your visitors can filter by tag. Services, stats, process, testimonials and a log section are each one textarea and one toggle, so the whole site is edited from the Customizer rather than a page builder.

Installing it
- Download the zip — neonwire.zip, 732 KB. Do not unzip it.
- In WordPress, go to Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme.
- Choose the zip and press Install Now, then Activate.
- Set it up under Appearance → Customize — colours, menus, layout and the front-page sections all live there.
Installing by FTP instead? Unzip it and upload the neonwire folder into wp-content/themes/, then activate it from Appearance → Themes.

Where do my projects go?
Each project is a normal post in a "Work" category with a featured image, plus a small box for client, role, stack and year. Its tags become the filter buttons on the work grid. Using normal posts means your portfolio survives a theme change.
Is the dark theme readable?
Yes. Body text is checked for at least 4.5:1 contrast on every preset, the effects layer never sits over running text, and the scanlines and noise can be switched off entirely.
Do the effects slow the site down?
No. Everything is CSS — there is no WebGL, no canvas and no animation library. The theme loads one stylesheet, two small scripts and its own bundled fonts, and makes no external requests at all.
Can I remove the theme credit?
The copyright line is yours to edit in the Customizer. The small "Neonwire theme by The Big Head" credit is part of the theme. It is GPL, so you may modify the code, but there is no setting that hides it.
Does it work for a studio rather than one person?
Yes. The hero takes a studio name instead of a personal one, the role line can list disciplines, and the clients strip and testimonials sections are built for agency use.

No Google Fonts, no analytics, no external requests of any kind. Everything the theme needs is inside the zip, which is also why they are small.
