In short

Always leave a conversation with the next date agreed, follow up when you said you would, and make every message useful — a question answered, a price held, a new option. Clinch reminds you to call and asks “when next?” every time you tick a call off.

The rule: never end a conversation without a next date

“Let me think about it” is fine. “Great — shall I call you Thursday?” turns it into a plan. Write the date down the second you hang up; the customer won’t remember, and you won’t either.

When to follow up after a quote

What to say so it isn’t pushy

Pushy is asking “have you decided yet?” Helpful is answering the thing they were stuck on. Lead with their name, one useful line and one easy question.

“Hi Rajesh — the Creta in grey came in today. Want me to hold it until Saturday?”

Don’t delete the ones who said no

People who didn’t buy were still interested. Note why — price, timing, bought elsewhere — and come back when that might have changed. Happy customers are worth a call too: a check-in a month after the sale is how referrals start.

How to do it with Clinch

  1. Add the lead. Name, what they want and the price — Clinch adds up the total and what you’ll earn.
  2. Set the next call. Today, tomorrow, in 3 days or next week. Tick a call done and Clinch asks “when next?”, so nobody goes quiet.
  3. Reach them in one tap. Call, WhatsApp, message or email, with ready-made messages that fill in the customer’s name.
  4. Try again later. Mark it not sold, pick why, and choose 1, 3 or 6 months — on the day, the lead is back on Home. After a sale, Clinch sets a check-in call a month later.

Clinch is free, with no account, no ads and no AI. Your customers stay on your phone.
