What Saltbox is for

Saltbox is a free Shopify theme that makes your store look like a well-kept shopfront. Pick Harbour, Market, Meadow or Lamplight and the awning, sign, price tags, fonts and colours change together. The home page opens on a shop window with clickable price tags, and a Visit section flips an OPEN sign in your time zone.

Installing it

Download the zip — saltbox.zip, 155 KB. Do not unzip it.
In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
Add theme → Upload zip file, and choose the file you just downloaded.
Customize to set colours, fonts and content, then Publish when you are happy.

This is an Online Store 2.0 theme, so every page is built from sections you can drag around in the theme editor — no code needed to rearrange a page.

Is it free?

Yes, MIT licensed, no paid tier.

Can I switch looks later?

Yes, Theme settings > Theme style.

I used Saltbox 1.x. Will my settings carry over?

Every 1.x setting id is kept; see the README upgrade notes.

Does it need apps?

No. Filters use Shopify's free Search & Discovery app.

Can I remove the theme credit?

Your copyright line is a setting. The small "Saltbox theme by The Big Head" credit is part of the theme and has no setting to hide it. It is MIT, so you may edit the code.
