What Kiln is for

Kiln is a free Shopify theme for DTC and maker brands that sell one hero product. Pick Stoneware, Porcelain, Ember or Celadon and the arch, plinth, glow, fonts and colours change together. The home page is a working product page, with spares and accessories in a normal shop behind it.

Installing it

Download the zip — kiln.zip, 151 KB. Do not unzip it.
In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
Add theme → Upload zip file, and choose the file you just downloaded.
Customize to set colours, fonts and content, then Publish when you are happy.

This is an Online Store 2.0 theme, so every page is built from sections you can drag around in the theme editor — no code needed to rearrange a page.

Is it free?

Yes, MIT licensed, no paid tier.

Can I sell more than one product?

Yes; collections and product pages work as normal.

I used Kiln 1.x. Will my settings carry over?

Every 1.x setting and section id is kept; see the README.

Does it need apps?

No. Filters use Shopify's free Search & Discovery app.

Can I remove the theme credit?

Your copyright line is a setting. The small "Kiln theme by The Big Head" credit is part of the theme and has no setting to hide it. It is MIT, so you may edit the code.
