Video to GIF
Drop in a video, drag the trim handles around the moment you want, choose a size, and make the GIF. The encoder runs inside the tab, so a private clip stays private.
Runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded to a server.
Clips up to about 15 seconds make the best GIFs. Longer clips work, but the file gets big fast.

Frequently asked
Is the video uploaded?
No. Your browser decodes the video and the GIF is encoded in the page. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Why is my GIF big?
GIFs are an old, uncompressed format. Keep clips under ten seconds, use 10–12 frames per second and a width of 320–480 for a shareable size.
Which video formats work?
Anything your browser can play: MP4 (H.264) works everywhere; WebM and MOV work in most browsers.
Can I save a still image instead?
Yes — pause at the moment you want and press “Save this frame” to get a full-resolution PNG.
