What Cornerstone is for

Cornerstone is a free WordPress real estate theme for agents, brokerages and property managers. Listings lead with price, bedrooms, bathrooms and square footage — the four things buyers actually scan — with for-sale, pending and sold badges, a featured-property hero and agent profile cards. No listing plugin required, though it stays out of the way if you use one.

Installing it

Download the zip — cornerstone.zip, 159 KB. Do not unzip it.
In WordPress, go to Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme.
Choose the zip and press Install Now, then Activate.
Set it up under Appearance → Customize — colours, menus, layout and the front-page sections all live there.

Installing by FTP instead? Unzip it and upload the cornerstone folder into wp-content/themes/, then activate it from Appearance → Themes.

Frequently asked

Do I need a real estate plugin?

No. Listings are ordinary posts in a “Listings” category, and the price, beds, baths and size come from custom fields the theme registers for you. If you already run a listings plugin, its own templates take over.

How do I mark something sold?

Set the listing status custom field to sold. The badge and the card styling change automatically, and sold listings can be pushed to the end of the grid.

Can I show more than one agent?

Yes — the agent cards are a repeatable Customizer section with room for four, and there is a full-width agents template for a larger team.

Is the price format configurable?

Yes. Set the currency symbol and whether it sits before or after the number in the Customizer.

Colours

Every one of these is editable in the Customizer, and they flow through to the block editor palette.
