Terms of Service

Welcome to Neighbr! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Neighbr mobile application ("App"), operated by The Big Head ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age to use the App.
• You must have a valid email address or Apple/Google account to register.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

3. Account Registration & Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately at info@thebighead.ca if you suspect unauthorized use.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. How Neighbr Works

4.1 Posting Jobs (Requesters)

Requesters can post jobs with a title, description, category, budget, location, and optional photos. Job listings are visible to other authenticated users in the area.

4.2 Bidding on Jobs (Helpers)

Helpers can browse available jobs and submit bids with a proposed price and message. Submitting a bid does not guarantee selection.

4.3 Completing Jobs

Once a Helper is selected, both parties communicate via in-app chat. Upon completion, either party may leave a review and rating.

4.4 Reviews & Ratings

Users may leave honest reviews after a job is completed. Reviews cannot be edited or deleted once submitted.

5. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Provide false or misleading information
• Use the App for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Post offensive, discriminatory, or illegal content
• Attempt to circumvent security features or access other users' accounts
• Spam, advertise unrelated services, or solicit users outside the platform
• Create multiple accounts
• Use automated means to access the App

6. Content & Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your content within the App. The Neighbr name, logo, and App design are property of The Big Head.

7. Safety & Liability

7.1 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEIGHBR AND THE BIG HEAD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED $100 CAD.

7.2 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Big Head from any claims arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

8. Payments

Neighbr does not process payments between users. All financial arrangements are strictly between the Requester and Helper. Neighbr is not responsible for payment disputes.

9. Reporting & Blocking

You can report users or content through the in-app reporting feature. You can block users to prevent contact. We review reports and may take action including warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans.

10. Account Deletion & Termination

You may delete your account from Profile > Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations without prior notice.

11. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time. We may update these Terms and will notify you of material changes.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
