Neighbr ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by The Big Head ("Company"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Neighbr mobile application ("App"). Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and postal code. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the information you authorize those services to share.
• Profile Information: Display name, profile photo, postal code, and any optional bio or details you add.
• Job Listings: Job titles, descriptions, categories, budget amounts, photos, and location data you provide when posting or bidding on jobs.
• Messages: Content of messages sent through the in-app chat feature.
• Reviews & Ratings: Reviews and star ratings you leave for other users.
• Reports: Information you provide when reporting another user or content.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Coarse Location: With your permission, we collect your approximate location to show nearby jobs. Your exact location is never displayed to other users; we apply a privacy radius to obscure your precise position.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for push notifications (FCM tokens).
• Usage Data: App interactions such as screens viewed, features used, and timestamps, used to improve the App experience.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

• Authentication Providers: If you sign in via Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address as authorized by you.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App
• Create and manage your account
• Facilitate job postings, bidding, and matching between users
• Enable in-app messaging between users
• Send push notifications about job updates, bids, messages, and reviews
• Display approximate job locations on the map
• Process reviews and ratings
• Respond to support requests
• Enforce our Terms of Service and protect against fraud or abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• With Other Users: Your display name, profile photo, ratings, reviews, and job listings are visible to other authenticated users. Your email address and exact location are never shared with other users.
• Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, storage, and push notifications.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
• Safety: We may share information to investigate or prevent fraud, security threats, or violations of our Terms of Service.

4. Data Storage & Security

• Your data is stored on Firebase (Google Cloud) servers located in North America.
• We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), Firebase Security Rules to restrict data access, and authentication requirements for all data operations.
• Profile images and job photos are stored in Firebase Storage with access controls.
• Despite our efforts, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights & Choices

• Access & Update: You can view and edit your profile information at any time within the App.
• Account Deletion: You can delete your account from Profile > Settings. This permanently removes your user profile, activity history, and profile image.
• Location: You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings.
• Push Notifications: You can manage notification preferences through your device settings.
• Data Portability: Contact us at info@thebighead.ca to request a copy of your data.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses: Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and Apple MapKit. Each has its own privacy policy.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you delete your account, we delete your profile data, activity history, and profile photo.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App or via push notification.
