Neighbr Support

Download Neighbr and choose Sign in with Apple or Continue with Google — there is no email-and-password option. Pick a display name (first name and last initial) and enter your postal code or ZIP, then tick “The neighbour promise”: I’ll be kind, meet somewhere safe, and report anything that feels off.

Yes. Tap Look around first to try a sample neighbourhood. It runs only on your phone, so nothing you do there is posted.

Yes. Neighbr is free to download and use, with no fees for asking, offering or messaging. Neighbr never handles money — you and your neighbour settle up directly, by cash, e-Transfer or however you agree.

In Canada and the US. Neighbr accepts a Canadian postal code (A1A 1A1) or a US 5-digit ZIP and shows requests near you.

Tap Ask (the big + in the middle of the tab bar) and answer four quick questions: what you need a hand with, what the ask is (pick a popular ask or write your own), when and what it’s worth (a price, a suggested amount from “Neighbours usually offer for this”, or Free favour), and where the help is needed. Then tap Post my ask.

Offers arrive in My jobs → I asked. Each shows the neighbour’s price and note. Tap Pick <Name> and confirm; a private chat opens with them. A request moves through Posted → Offers → Picked → Done.

The helper taps I’ve finished, you tap Yes, it’s done!, and you can review each other. Need the same help again? Tap Ask again.

Open Nearby to see requests as a list or on a map. If your area is quiet, Neighbr tells you when there are requests a little further away and lets you widen the search.

Open a request and tap I can help!. Set your price (lower, raise, or Help for free), add a note, and send. You’ll get a ping if you’re picked. Jobs you’re helping with are in My jobs → I’m helping.

Yes — long-press any request to save it. Saved requests are on the Me tab.

Neighbours with at least five reviews averaging 4.8 stars or better get a Top rated badge.

No. Requests show only a rough area — the pin on the map is moved 150–350 m from the real spot. The exact spot is shared only with the helper you pick, and your address and full postal code are never shown.

No. A chat opens only after someone is picked, so there are no cold messages.

Tap the ••• menu on a request, on an offer card, or at the top right of a chat, then choose Report or Block. Reports are private. To unblock, go to Me → Blocked neighbours.

Meet somewhere safe, let someone know where you’re going, keep the conversation in the in-app chat, pay when the job is done, and trust your gut. The Staying safe page on the Me tab has more. In an emergency, always call 911.

Go to Me, tap the pencil at the top right, then Edit profile to change your display name, bio, postal code and photo. A profile photo is optional; without one you get a cartoon neighbour.

Go to Me → Notifications to choose what you hear about and how far away, set quiet overnight hours, and turn an optional daily round-up on or off.

Go to Me and tap the gear at the top right (in older versions, scroll to the bottom of Me), tap Delete account, then Delete my account. Messages you sent stay in the other person’s chat, shown as from a “Deleted neighbour”, for safety. This can’t be undone.
