Terms of Service

Welcome to CleanConnect! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CleanConnect mobile application operated by The Bighead ("we," "our," or "us").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CleanConnect, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

CleanConnect is a social platform that connects individuals passionate about environmental cleanup in India. The app allows users to:

• Share posts about cleanup activities with photos and video proof
• Organize and join cleanup gatherings/events
• Send and receive tips to support content creators
• Earn points, badges, and climb leaderboards
• Connect with like-minded environmental advocates

3. Account Registration

Requirements

• You must be at least 13 years old to use CleanConnect
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You must authenticate using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In
• You are responsible for maintaining account security

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Post harmful or inappropriate content
• Abuse the platform or other users

4. User Responsibilities

By using CleanConnect, you agree to:

• Post only truthful and accurate content
• Respect other users and their contributions
• Not upload harmful, offensive, or illegal content
• Not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Not use the app for spam, harassment, or fraud
• Comply with all applicable local laws

5. Content Guidelines

Your Content

• You retain ownership of content you post
• You grant us a license to display, distribute, and promote your content within the app
• You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to content you post
• You must not post copyrighted material without permission

Prohibited Content

• Hate speech, discrimination, or harassment
• Violence, threats, or dangerous activities
• Sexually explicit material
• False or misleading information
• Spam or unauthorized advertising
• Content that violates others' privacy

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines.

6. Payment Terms

Payment Processing

• All payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Creators must complete Stripe Connect onboarding to receive tips
• Tips are non-refundable once processed
• We are not responsible for payment disputes between users

Taxes

• Users are responsible for any applicable taxes on tips received
• We may provide transaction records for tax purposes upon request

7. Intellectual Property

Our Rights

• CleanConnect name, logo, and branding are our trademarks
• App design, code, and features are our intellectual property
• You may not copy, modify, or distribute our app

Your Rights

• You retain ownership of original content you create
• By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use your content within the service

8. Privacy

Your use of CleanConnect is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the app, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

Service "As Is"

CleanConnect is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• Accuracy of user-generated content
• Safety of in-person gatherings organized through the app

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months
• We are not responsible for third-party services (Firebase, Stripe)

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Bighead from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of CleanConnect
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of others' rights
• Content you post on the platform

12. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue features at any time
• Update these Terms with notice to users
• Change pricing or fee structures with 30 days notice

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada and the Federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

14. Dispute Resolution

Before pursuing legal action, you agree to:

1. Contact us at info@thebighead.ca to resolve the issue
2. Allow 30 days for informal resolution
3. Participate in good-faith negotiations

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
