I build things that respond. Interfaces, installations, and the realtime graphics that sit between the two. Fifteen years of it, most recently from a studio above a bike shop.

How I work

I take few projects and stay on them. I would rather ship one wall that a city uses every day than six concepts that photograph well.

What I need from you

A real constraint. A budget you can say out loud. Someone who can make a decision in the room.

What I do

  • Realtime systems

Installations and stage systems that answer a room in the same second, not the next one.

  • Interface design

Control rooms, readers and tools for people who look at one screen all day.

  • Motion & titles

Sequences built from sound and data rather than keyframes.

  • Sound-reactive work

Rooms, walls and surfaces that listen before they speak.

  • Data visualisation

Large, awkward, real datasets — shown honestly, gaps included.

  • Technical direction

Coming in early enough to stop the expensive decision being made twice.

How a project runs

  1. Find the constraint

One afternoon in the actual room. What is fixed, what is negotiable, what has already been decided without anyone saying so.

  2. Build the ugly version

A rough end-to-end that proves the hard part works. No styling, no comfort — just the risk, removed.

  3. Make it feel right

The part that cannot be specified: timing, weight, restraint. This is where most of the budget should go.

  4. Hand it over properly

Documentation a technician can follow at 6am without calling me.
