PocketCloser is a sales CRM app for iPhone, built and operated by The Big Head ("we", "us"), based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with information.
PocketCloser is a CRM, so you enter information about your leads and your sales activity. This includes lead names, phone numbers, emails, companies, notes, deal values, pipeline stages, follow-up dates, and the AI-generated summaries and messages. All of this is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. It is not uploaded to us.
The "Add lead by voice" feature uses your microphone and Apple's Speech framework to transcribe what you say into text. Where your device supports it, this transcription happens on-device. PocketCloser does not record, store, or transmit your audio. You can use the app entirely by typing instead — voice is optional, and the app asks your permission before using the microphone.
PocketCloser can turn a raw note into a structured lead two ways:
If you never add a key, no note data is ever sent to OpenAI or anyone else.
Because PocketCloser is a CRM, you may store details about other people (your prospects and customers). You are responsible for handling that information lawfully — including having a proper basis to store their contact details and following applicable privacy and anti-spam laws (such as Canada's CASL) when you contact them.
Your data is protected by iOS device encryption and app sandboxing. Any API key you add is stored in the iOS Keychain, not in plain text.
You can view, edit or delete any lead at any time within the app. Deleting the app from your device permanently removes all PocketCloser data stored on it.
PocketCloser is a business tool intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last Updated" date.
